Sheesh!! What a winter! Remember when Pa had to tie a rope around his waist to get to the barn and back during the blizzard?

I am so coddled by modern life. Yesterday I felt sweaty and discontented in the car because the heat was on and I was wearing two sweaters. Hah!

  3. Katy Says:

It was the blizzard of my discontent.

(Thank you for making space on your blog for me to crack myself up.)

I am thinking of how slowed down and quiet I can become when forced by big storms like this to hunker down and be still.

    chop wood. carry water.

Gaga. (And not Lady Gaga, but just “gaga”.) Yikes. I love the top photo, with the conifers. Beautiful; the best part of a big snow is a moment like that.

We actually had snow like the top photo this winter, in Dallas. Not since 1913, which of course I don’t remember. I think.

It was beautiful, as is your photo. I felt like a real “Northener” for a day.
