I don’t know how to write about what I’m doing with my days. So many simple tasks and chores, which are gradually changing and improving the house. Meanwhile all around the world is on fire with unbelievable beauty.
I bought some mums for the front step. Had to.

I met a man once in a garden center (he was shopping) who said, with as much contempt as he could muster, “Mums are such an autumn cliche.” And I thought to myself, “Tsk. Someone needs to get over himself.” These are gorgeous. Love all the geometry in the shot, too. Circles, squares, rectangles and diagonals cutting it up into triangles. All the fall colors make me want to paint (walls, not “canvas”).

The front walk is really beautiful. I didn’t get to see it when we did our drive by viewing of the house. Love it.
