cones
My friend brought me two shells from her mother who collects them while walking on the beach near her home in Hawaii. It’s an honor that she relinquished a few in my direction.
I’ve been playing around, thinking about cones, and how to construct them. How to build them from a spiral:
Or from circles, like the necklace that is nearly finished now:
My circle obsession gone 3-dimensional.

Love where this obsession has led you. They remind me of cones ,or trumpets and of course shells. If you hold it to your ears can you hear the sea?

So, so beautiful, Estyn. Are the pearls threaded onto wire?
I’ve tried to crochet the spiral shell shape without success. I’ll keep trying…..

Estyn, these are beautiful. As usual you have such a gift of intuitive elegance. I can’t wait to see them in person. By the way, just looked at your website. Way to go. It looks great!!
