more bread

I made the bread twice more. Once with whole wheat, pecans, and cranberries.

Then with sesame seeds scattered on top.

Both filled my chest with a swelling sense of pride in their beauty; for one whole minute before they were demolished by a ravenous horde.

(Can you have a horde of 2? I looked it up and apparently not – you need at least 5 small families, but considering the level of bread consumption I stand by my use of the word.)

I LOVE that you looked the word up! You crack me up. Yes, the bread looks so beautiful I can almost smell it, yum. Hope you had it with butter while it was still hot.

Oh, these photos are killing me!
Now, with recipe in hand (thank you very much!), I must go out in search of a dutch oven…

That looks delicious (and inspirational!) did the whole wheat change the recipe at all?

I look words up all the time (doesn’t everybody?). Anyway, I must make this very soon.

I used 1/3 whole wheat and the recipe had you add some honey to the liquid – probably helps the rise.

Thanks to your example, I have made the bread twice too! And the two-person horde in my house devoured them as well!

haha thats funny, but yes, i think in the case of freshly baked bread, hoard can stand for two.
