biscotti

The insane holiday baking frenzy that always grips me has arrived. First in line – biscotti to send as a gift.

Phase one baking: biscotti loaves. The recipe is from baker extraordinaire Wendy, these here with dried cherries and semi-sweet chocolate.

Phase two. Enough to feed the masses. Or one giant brother.

You make the most beautiful cookies I have ever had. I hope you publish them all, so people can see the piles of them you make….

Baking has begun at my house too: two loaves of pumpkin bread baked on a grey rainy day, the smell is still in the air this morning. mmmm….

I love that there’s nothing in this photo to indicate scale, very exciting! Like Central Park is covered in biscotti. I’m off to roast a chicken with herbs and wild rice. Having been assured by a co-op staffer who wished to remain anonymous that leaving it in my car for 3 hours would NOT kill me. Signed, Nervous Ex-Vegan.
