norwegian mittens
I reaaaaally want to make something, but all my stuff – beads, yarn, fabric – is in boxes. And that would entail unpacking, which would require moving furniture into place, which is heavy and frustrating and feels like that game where you move the little squares around to make a picture. Pfft. Forget that. I’ll just weave through the piles to get to my computer and read happy crafty blogs all day.
Today’s find was the nerd and the needles, and yummy pictures of traditional Norwegian mittens.
I want to knit those little people soooo bad. Might have to go unpack a box…

those are fantastic! yes, I’d want to knit them too! Maybe you could unpack a little and then knit a little as a reward?
Are you on Ravelry yet? I’ve just joined and I feel like a kid in a candy shop– I MUST finish my current project (and other work) before i allow myself to start knitting something else.

Many years ago I knitted those mittens, but than my mum could give me some help to make the thumb. She passed away july 1999 and now I want to knit these nice mittens. I orderd some books last week like Selbuvotter and five books raumagarn patterns in the USA. I will have problems with the thumbs and I have to translate in Dutch but I’ll try my very best.
Greetings from North East Holland (I live about 12 km from the city of Emmen)
